Spectrum Community Services and SOS Meals on Wheels are partnering for Community Champions Week March 16–20, 2026, to highlight the importance of Senior Nutrition Programs. Community Champions Week is a nationwide celebration highlighting the critical role senior nutrition programs play in helping older adults remain healthy, independent, and connected. More than 50 years after the Older Americans Act established these programs, far too many seniors still face hunger and isolation. This week is an opportunity to show up, connect, and bring visibility to services that truly make a difference.
SOS Meals on Wheels and Spectrum Community Services work together to meet seniors where they are—SOSMOW providing meals for homebound seniors and Spectrum offering congregate dining for active older adults—both services rely on community support to ensure our senior neighbors remain healthy, independent, and connected.
